WELCOME TO OUR ART CLUB PAGE
Art Club is for (8-12) students who have an interest in art. You don’t need to excel in the process of making art to be a part of our group.
Art Club began several years ago when students who wanted more studio time to develop their skills approached the leaders of our school about ways to become more active in art. The first groups organized meeting times, field trips, shows, and art critiques to become more experienced in the art world.
All club members are asked to attend meetings and be responsible for understanding current issues related to art club, but they ARE NOT required to attend every review or critique session as many of these opportunities are better suited for smaller groups or individuals.
Who belongs in Art Club? Simple silly. People who:
- ENJOY ART
- WANT MORE TIME/INPUT IN THE CREATIVE PROCESS
- WANT TO BE PART OF A GROUP
- WANT TO DISPLAY ART OF THEIR OWN OR A PEER’S
- WANT HELP FINDING DIRECTION IN ART
- WANT HELP DEVELOPING A PORTFOLIO
- WANT ADVICE IN POST-SECONDARY OPTIONS
