I’m so happy to be teaching Early Childhood in Blooming Prairie. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with wonderful kids, families, and staff members.

Registration for the 2025-26 School Year Opens on March 10th

Preschool
Preschool consists of 3 year olds who turn 3 on or before September 1st of the new school year. Preschool students attend school two half days in the mornings from 8:05-10:50.

Notes:

  • Supply List
  • What to work on with your Pre-K child throughout the school year.
    • Identify their first name
    • Writing their first name
    • Drawing a self-portrait of themselves
    • Identifying colors
    • Identifying shapes (circle, square, oval, triangle, rectangle, and rhombus)
    • Count to 10
    • Counting objects to 10
    • Recognizing numbers 0-5
    • Making a pattern

Pre Kindergarten
Pre-K consists of 4 and 5 year old students who turn 4 on or before September 1st of new school year and living within the Blooming Prairie Pre-K students attend half days (M-Th) from 12:00-2:40, or full days (M-F) from 8:05-2:40.

Early Childhood Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is a group of volunteer parents/community members interested in promoting the goals of the Early Childhood Programs. It exists for the purpose of strengthening the Early Childhood Programs by participating in planning, carrying out, and evaluation of programs and outreach efforts for all families.
The Advisory Council meets quarterly.

Happy SNOW DAY! Welcome to E-Learning for Preschool and Pre-K!

Here are a list of some optional activities that you may do with your child in the event of a snow day (or any day!):

  • Read with your child (Book Buddy Bags if you have them)
  • Play with your child
  • Have your child show you some SMART Room activities (Alligator crawl, Pencil Roll, Balance Beam-walk heel to toe in a straight line, Popcorn, Superman,
  • Helicopter Spins, Flamingo Balancing)
  • Practice writing and/or tracing their name
  • Practice writing and/or tracing numbers 0-10
  • Practice counting out loud and counting objects (1:1 correspondence)
  • Practice writing and/or tracing letters in the alphabet
  • Build a snowman
  • Go sledding

Blooming Prairie 3 Year Old Preschool
School Readiness Preschool Program
Blooming Prairie Public Schools

The Blooming Prairie 3 year-old (Preschool) program is available to students who turn three on or before September 1, 2026. The 3 year-old program focuses on social/emotional skills and academic skills appropriate for each child’s needs and abilities.

Preschool classes will begin in September 2026. All 3 year-old Preschool students will attend 2 half days per week in the morning (8:10-10:50).

The cost of 3 year-old Preschool will be $100 per month.
Free and reduced forms can be filled out in the fall to determine if you qualify for a reduced Preschool fee.

The information you provide will register your child for the 3 year-old School Readiness program. Space is limited so please be sure to complete the registration form and immunization form if you are interested in your child attending the 3 year-old Preschool program.

Parents are children’s first and most important teacher. Children with involved parents are more successful in the classroom… and in life! To register in BP 3 year-old Preschool, parents must agree to participate in 25 hours of parent education opportunities. The following options can be used to acquire the 25 hours:

  • Serving on Early Childhood Advisory Council – meets 4 times a year
  • Participate in ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) classes and/or events
  • Classroom Volunteer
  • Reading and Returning Book Buddy Bags

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE Blooming Prairie Schools does not provide transportation for our School Readiness students. (Students may ride the bus to school in the mornings, but there is no mid-day transportation.)

Families will be notified of their enrollment status after May 23rd.

School Readiness Program

The cost of 4 & 5 year-old School Readiness will be $175.00 per month/ half days and $535.00 per month/full days.
Free and reduced forms can be filled out in the fall to determine if you qualify for a free of reduced School Readiness fee.
